As an accounting student at Albion College, they will develop strong analytical skills, preparing them not only for their first job after graduation but also for advancement into increasingly responsible positions. These courses equip them with everything they need to be successful in the fields of business, administration, and accounting.
Students will develop a deep understanding of economic theory and strong critical and problem-solving skills that they will hone through hands-on experience. They will graduate with a close network of faculty, alumni and peers who will help support and advance their future success.
Students will learn:
- They will develop an in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of accounting, finance, auditing, and taxation.
- They will become familiar with the fundamentals of macroeconomics and financial markets and master the mathematical skills you’ll need to excel in and out of the classroom.
- They will learn how to build and operate systems that store and analyze financial data, gaining hands-on experience with a computerized accounting system.
- They will tailor their course of study to their particular goals and interests, pursuing a certified public accountant (C.P.A.) or corporate emphasis.
